“I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.” Philippians 4:11-13 The Message.
Are you content?
If I am honest there are times that I have just wanted all of my kids to “just let me alone…” And I have wanted to escape into something that was comforting to me… a bubble bath, a book, something good to eat.
Here in North America we treat luxuries as our necessities. I want to be more like Paul, be content in whatever the circumstance. I want to chose to be happy with little or with much. I want to be truly joyful in everything, let God Himself give me the strength.
Wow. That’s transformational… Today, to be content. Choose to be strong in Him and not in yourself, choose to be joy-filled in whatever state you are in.
