Power To Succeed

Do you feel pressure to be a success?

To truly succeed in life you must truly trust and obey God fully.  You must humble yourself, turn from your own self-suffienciency and rely on God. Deuteronomy 8:17-18 says, “ He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.’ Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath.”

Even as a parent, if you are trusting in your own resouces to make you a good parent, you will quickly fall on your face. You will make mistakes as a parent and not even comprehend the damage you are doing as you walk in pride. It takes humility to be a good parent. Humility to lean on God and humility to be able to learn from others.

When you put the results in God’s hands, you will be a success by following His lead.

Celebrate What God Has Done

Do you remember the things that God has done for you?

There are so many times that I forget to fully celebrate the goodness of God when He has answered my prayers. Deuteronomy 4:9 says ““But watch out! Be careful never to forget what you yourself have seen. Do not let these memories escape from your mind as long as you live! And be sure to pass them on to your children and grandchildren” (NLT).

By taking the time to recount the many blessings that God has done, it helps me to recount His faithfulness in my life to my children.  When we are open and transparent with our children about our own dependancy on God, they will learn that God is trustworthy in time of need.  If they see you pray and wait on God for your needs to be met, they will learn to do the same.  They can be part of the celebration when God’s answers prevail.

God desires for you to live an epic life as an overcomer.  As you overcome trials and circumstances, you are training your children as overcomers too.

The Holy Spirit Prays For You

Do you ever find yourself not knowing what to do in a particular situation?

Sometimes the emotions are strong in the house and issues are unresolved. Who do you turn to when you don’t know what to do. Romans 8:26-27 says, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.”

Find peace and rest that when you don’t know what to do, God does.  He will lead you and guide you to a greater understanding of what to do and how to do it.
